QC R&U One-Time Password (OTP) Authentication

In order to be able to review pages using an OTP, the QC R&U One-Time Password (OTP) Authentication should be enabled both on space and user level. This documentation provides step-by-step instructions on how to use an OTP to review pages.

Enabling OTP on Space Level

You can enable One-Time Password Authentication as a Space Admin to require your users to use an OTP every time they want to review a page. To do this:

  1. Login as a Space Admin
  2. Go to Space Settings → App links → QC R&U
  3. Scroll to the “Access” section and select the “Enable OTP authentication to R&U pages” checkbox
  4. Update the settings.

Enabling OTP on User Level

If a Space Admin has enabled One-Time Password Authentication to R&U pages, then you will be asked to activate it on your profile settings as well in order to be able to review the pages you are assigned to. Follow the simple steps below to enable OTP on User level and register your device:

  1. Go to your profile settings and select the “QC R&U OTP Authentication” option
  2. Click the “Enable” button
  3. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR Code you see on your monitor
  4. In the “Enter OTP” field, type the code you see in your authenticator app and hit the “Register device” button.

You have now successfully enabled QC R&U One-Time Password (OTP) Authentication to review the pages you are assigned to.

Approving pages using OTP

To approve the pages you are assigned to by using OTP, all you have to do is have a Space Admin enabling One-Time Password Authentication on space level, and then register your device for QC R&U OTP Authentication from your profile settings. Once these steps are complete, you can R&U your pages.

To R&U your pages using OTP:

  1. Go to a page you have to review
  2. Open your authenticator app, type the OTP as shown in the app and hit the “Submit” button
  3. If the OTP is correct, then the Read & Understood button will be enabled and you can click it to review the page.

Re-registering device

You can re-register your device by simply visiting your profile settings. Read the steps below on how to re-register your device:

  1. Go to your profile settings and select the “QC R&U OTP Authentication” option
  2. Click the “Re-register device” and then click “Continue” in the dialog that shows up
  3. In the “Enter Confirmation Code” type the Confirmation Code as shown in your inbox and then click “Continue”
  4. Open your authenticator app, scan the QR code you see on your monitor, type the OTP as shown in the app and hit the “Register device” button.

You have now successfully re-registered your device for QC R&U OTP Authentication.
